Hi ,
Thanks for signing up for our June Online Seminar! Here is some information you will need:
Subject: People sometimes ask me ahead of a seminar what the subject will be. Most of the time, I can't really answer this question because I normally don't create the seminar until about two days before it happens. Why? Because I'm a procrastinator? (I am, but that's a different subject.) No, because the computer world changes so rapidly that I found in the past, I wound up scrapping a subject
because something more important happened and I needed to cover it. Additionally, most of my seminars, whether in person or online, cover a variety of different subjects. I try to share info for both the beginner and the seasoned computer user. It's a slippery slope but I do what I can to make the seminars interesting for everyone. As for this online seminar, I can tell you some of what we'll cover:
- Fake messages and emails
- 5 apps you should have on your smartphone
- The importance of updating account recovery data
Accessing The Seminar: Here is the link to access the seminar on Saturday...
We are using Google Meet for the first time. You do not need a Google account to join the meeting unless you are trying to join from a mobile device. Regardless, you will be prompted to ask for permission to join the event. This prevents people who have NOT paid for the seminar from entering. I will give further instructions once everyone is in. If you have a video camera, you can choose to turn the camera on or off.
Again, this is the first I'm using Meet so expect some technical difficulties! LOL
Recording: There will be a recording of the seminar available after the seminar ends. If you signed up for the seminar but don't attend, you'll receive an email with a link for the recording.
Thanks: Once again, thanks for signing up for the seminar. For those of you on Florida's Treasure Coast, I'm sorry this can't be in person. Joyce, Anne, Gus and I are all missing seeing the "gang" in one room together.
